Southern Belles

So today I went to a birthday party, a surprise party actually. It was very southern themed which I absolutely loved!

It was so much fun! Just look at the pictures!!

Loving those cupcakes!!!

Now time for some animal love!

Gorgeous scenery, such a photogenic place.

It was great and I had such an amazing time. Unfortunately I didn't get to gab a snap with the birthday girl. Nevertheless Happy Birthday to a great friend and I look forward to the next couple of years with you!

Absolutely all photo credits go to the wonderful K, thanks so much!!

Last Day

I started writing this blog at the beginning of the school year. When I was thinking back on this year I first felt like I hadn't accomplished anything, however, my blog posts say otherwise. I started a blog, (scary move for me and totally outside my comfort zone) just looking back at the posts prove how much I've done this year. Telling myself it would be a great post for my blog has been key in the experimenting process and has gotten me to try new things. I've been saying yes to so many more things I want to say no to and that has been amazing for me. I've made so many more memories by saying yes to things and I'm so glad. I plan on saying yes more often and I want to keep having fewer regrets about not doing things that I should have done each year. (More about that on another blog post.)

So as I was reminiscing I looked at the picture from my first day of school this year (on the left) compared to my last day (on the right), you could say I've matured and grown up a bit this year. I certainly think I did, both physically and mentally.

First Day of School Outfit: School Soccer Team Uniform accesorized with a cupcake!
Last Day of School Outfit: Party Hardy shirt from Target, high waisted jean shorts from forever 21, and sperry topsider shoes.

On a more fun note, I went to a friends house after school and this happened:

It was an extremely fun year (and day!) and I'm really looking forward to my summer!

Thanks so much A for taking the photos of me on the tire!

Room Tour

Hello again! I've had finals prep to do for the past two weeks, fun and exciting right? Anyway, I only have my English final left tomorrow and then I'm on summer vacation!!!

The reason for this particular blog post is kind of naughty. I needed a reason to clean up my room and this was it. Plus, my cousins in the midwest have never seen my room before and this is a great way to invite them inside. Let's start shall we!

Let's walk up the stairs to my bedroom.

Where you'll be greeted to a super cool picture the reminds me of a proper winter.

Now lets go to my bathroom.

Yes, I know it's not winter anymore and I still have peppermint body wash but it takes me forever to finish body washes off since I use a sponge and don't need that much to lather.

Now let's get into my bedroom.

Would you like to go inside?

My sheets are from Bed, Bath, and Beyond if you were wondering. I think they represent my personality completely because they're colorful and full of many different patterns- I feel like they're unique and different from what everybody else has.
(Maybe that's just me and everybody has the same sheets- how would I know?!)

College/University stuff oh joy! (See those papers behind the laundry basket? That's all the school work I now get to throw away and try to forget for the next 3 months!!!)

I'm still a Chicago girl don't worry, I've got my Chicago Cub bear there too!

Gotta show support for my team (Go Croatia!) By the way, who saw the opening game for the World Cup? Totally rigged. Croatia could've tied if it wasn't for the ref. The penalty should never have happened, Brazil's last goal shouldn't have counted since it was a total foul, and the goal Croatia scored was definitely not a foul on their goal keeper. I have very strong views about this.

Currently reading "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd. I have so many good books that I plan on reading this summer!

Lastly my closet!

I hope you guys enjoyed a bit of a different blog post today and I hope you all have a super amazing summer!

Editor's Note:
I'll be turning in my school laptop back to my school tomorrow (I rent my laptop from my school every year) so I will be laptop-less over the summer. I will be blogging from my parents computer which I'm not really looking forward to but I'm taking what I can get until school starts again. I don't know what that will mean for my YouTube channel since my parents don't have a Mac computer. I could try and use Roxio (PC version of IMovie) but I don't know if I'll have the patience to learn. We'll see how badly I want to make videos. Hopefully I'll be able to. Time to clean this laptop off and say goodbye to another school year!
